英語?英語圏文学専修
受験生へのメッセージ(クリス?ホスキンズ)
Hello, my name is Chris Hoskins. I’m a professor in the American and British Literature Course at Kyoritsu Women’s University. Of course, I like to read literature very much myself. Since I learned to read at age 4 or 5, I have always loved books. My favorite type of book to read is a novel or a short story. Some years ago, I learned to read in Japanese, and now I can enjoy literature in two languages, English and Japanese. If you would like to learn how to communicate in English, French, Chinese, or any other foreign language, learn by reading literature. It’s not so easy to do, but it’s very interesting.
In my job I both teach and do research activities. Some classes I teach are English Writing Practice, English Presentation Practice, English Discussion Practice, CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning), Beginning English Speaking and Listening, and English Teaching Methods and Theories. My research topics are English teaching methods and practices and computer technology in language learning.
